Noggins Corner Farm offers agricultural and environmental based education programs for grades primary to six. The programs are specifically designed for each grade level and fulfill several aspects of the curriculum. Not only are the programs teacher friendly by they are interactive and hands-on, which makes for a fun filled day.

  • For grades primary and one, we offer a Blossoms, Bees & Planting Time program which entails a wagon ride to the apple orchard where we will investigate the world of outdoor living things using all five senses.
  • For grades two we have a Field and Woodland Critters program which involves going for a wagon ride to our fields and woodlands to discover the furry, feathered scaly and slimy creatures.
  • For grades three we Explore a Precious Resource - Soil be taking a wagon ride and earth walk to discover the wonders of soils. The students will conduct a series of hands-on experiments, to determine the important properties of soil and how those properties can affect plant growth.
  • For grades four we offer Habitat Investigations where the students become a habitat detective for a day by searching the woodlands and wetlands for clues or sightings of who and what lives in these two diverse habitats.
  • For grade five we partake in An Historical Walk by taking a walk back into the past. The students will discover the remains of two Acadian cellars, the site of an English Plant Gristmill, a First Nations campsite, a view of a working aboiteau and a walk on the dyke first built by the Acadians.
  • For grades six we explore Agricultural Biodiversity by understanding why biodiversity is so important and what it means. The students will discover some of the answers to these complex questions by investigating various agricultural environments.

Each program is designed for a maximum length of 3.5 hours. The program fee is $5.50 per person, teachers, EA's and chaperones are free as per Board policy. All programs also include play time in our Barnyard Adventure Area, where students can run, jump, slide and negotiate their way through a number of different types of mazes. Programs can be mixed and matched to meet needs of split classes and/or teacher preferences.
